It has been cold and rainy lately but finally some sun this Saturday. A bit of snow on the upper peaks around Vail and in Colorado. We don't want summer to end. It was way too short this year.

The girls bike 100 miles (162km?) to help raise money for breast cancer
Sarah, Cindy, Beth and Debra did a benefit ride to help raise money to fight breast cancer this past weekend in Aspen, Colorado. They all road 100 miles in about 6 hours 30 minutes riding time and 7 hours and 45 minutes total time with stops and rest. Chris only road the first 30 miles or so with the climbs. He was sick and therefore drove the support vehicle. They didn't need much support. Sorry, but we didn't get any pictures of them riding. Only a few photos of Cindy and Sarah when they were all finished. Taken with the camera phone.
The first two climbs were pretty tough. 1720 feet (520meters) the first 10 miles and then another 1867 feet (565meters) starting at mile 20. Then they had more climbing after that!
Sarah raised over $1000 dollars.

Building a patio
Our friend Tom Conville called us. He needed help to rebuild a patio for someone. In payment, we might get a free spot to park the snowmobile trailer for the winter. That is worth quite a bit since it can cost us $75 per month to park it elsewhere. Sarah took pictures of me managing the construction and doing the heavy work. We wanted to prove to Stojan that I actually work sometimes.

Flattops Moto biking
With Sarah out of town I decided to do an overnight camping trip up to the Flattops. I road 50 miles on Monday afternoon and then 87 miles on Tuesday. Great weather and fun roads. I visited some new areas. Always learning the terrain better and better. However, I probably didn't find any better riding areas for the snowmobiles than we already know about. As you can see, without the wife around to take pictures of, I had to take pictures of my bike.
