Colorado Snowmobiling Dec 30

Retarded tourists stuck in the ditch.
OOPS ! They're my friends. Time to get the chains.

Todd Moyer and his wife Mariella doing a little shoveling.

Not too much to report from today's ride. Sarah is still feeling under the weather so she couldn't go. She certainly was envious but frankly, the snow isn't that great. It is a bit deep in places but there is absolutely no base and we stuck to the roads. Super dangerous to go off trail. Lots of rocks and stumps to cause major damage. Mainly a time to just get the sleds started and make a couple of adjustments. But most importantly SLUDGE FIXED HIS SLED later this day ! He wasn't with on the ride today but he put his sled together last week but then it wouldn't fire. Perhaps a bad stator, but he found the problem later today and got it fired up today. Perhaps we'll take it out tomorrow or next week. We'll see.

From the week before, the short block out of the sled

Some goof ball with a wrench.

Only picture from the day. Although it looks deep, we practically hit the ground underneath. That is a big log under the snow in front of that snowmobile.

More snow coming, conditions getting better

Pictures taken December 27th, parts of the Back Bowls are now open, and snowing outside today (December 30th)

Snowmobiling Dec 10th

Went up on Vail pass to meet a guy that wanted to buy the sled. SOLD. $2500. Benjie, your sled is gone. Had a good time messing around with him and his two buddies. Maybe 24-26 miles. Then we ran into a group that had a sled way down a hill. No helmets and smoking cigarettes. Must have been Europeans. The snow is super slim. We need a foot or more. You can ride along the roads, but that is about it. If you go off trail you are risking the health of your sled for sure. Perhaps Sarah and I will finally go out this coming Wed or Thursday. We'll see.
