Moab trip with Italians

Question: how can you tell there were Italians in Moab?

(Hint: one is a drink and one is a spread...)

First day hike in Canyonlands NP:
Aztec Butte and Indian ruins.

Great views from top of Aztec Butte.

Desert flowers starting blooming in Canyonlands NP.

Hike in Canyonlands NP: Upheaval Dome.

Resting to enjoy the views in Canyonlands NP.

Fausto & Chris getting ready for first dirt-biking ride
on the very first afternoon.
After being good with us in Canyonlands NP,
Ratz started itching for motor-biking and...
said they gotta go back to camp ASAP,
because "Fausto wants to go dirt-biking".
(Ehm. Fausto didn't know what Chris was talking about,
but didn't complain either... he-he!").
So we all went back and the guys went biking,
while we girls did what all good wives do...
chat while sun-bathing in the desert sun! :)

Fausto on a Red-neck Try-out:
he started with tree-skiing in Vail and sledding in Camp Hale;
motor-biking in Moab
and shooting bibi-gun and slingshot in down-time
(a.k.a.: when Ratz wasn't
"nagging & forcing" the "poor guy"
to get on the dirt-bike).

Cristina got her Rec-neck Try-out too with tree-skiing, sledding, mountain-biking,
ATV-ing and shooting the slingshot.
She was the best shooter of the group!!!
We decided that, if I was going to have to kill a rabbit with a slingshot for dinner...
I'd become a vegetarian.
But she would have been able to kill a whole DEER to save us all!!!

Italians-Yankee tour group getting a pic with the Aliens.
I know. Any good archeologist would spank me for saying this, but...
These were some Indian Petroglyphs we found not far away from our camp,
and we decided Indians MUST have seen Aliens!
(Click on pic for full size and you'll get it too.)

Next day: while the Guys were getting ready for motor-biking, again.
The Girls went biking.

Sarah & Cristina biking again together after...
15 years???
It was worth waiting so long though!!!
Biking in the sand wasn't that great, and we also got rained on,
but we had great time!!! :>

The "4 Out-laws" having fun in Moab.
Unfortunately, you wouldn't be able to do this in Italy.
That's why we're in the desert!!!

Hey!
What's wrong with this pic?
Sneakers with motorbiking pants, or...
motorbiking boots with "pigiamino" (a.k.a.: P.J. like gym-suit)?

Some seaweed floating in the desert.
Nope!
We didn't drink and draw it ourselves!!!
It was sooo cool to find it!!!

Tsunamy getting a pic with the Big Rock by Debinky Tunnel.

The "2 Italian Out-laws" ATV-ing in Moab.
They got a kick out of it, since they can't do this in Italy.
They'd get a ticket right away.

YEP!
Last night was SMORES night!!!
They got the recipe and will try to make it at home.
They said they'll try rice-crispies too...
if the marsh-mellows will be able to make it home.
(They both got a "little sweet-tooth".)

The MUST-DO hike in Arches:
Delicate Arch with Ratz, Tsunamy, Cri & Fausto.

Chris getting ideas for his future car from the Moab road-car-show.
We were strolling in Moab, looking at old/renewed cars,
while waiting for Simone to call us back.
He left us a voice-mail asking, if we could lend him our sleeping-bags
and some blankets, because they were cold during the night...
Oh, Pierino!!!
Since he didn't call before we left,
we left him a message saying... "we left the bags and blankets behind the red rock
with the petroglyphs in Kane Creek Canyon".
Hey!
At least we didn't say...
behind a RED rock in Kane Creek Canyon!
(If you were never in Moab... there are only RED rocks over there!).
