Europe 2008

Third day home and I have some time to put up some pictures. (It is 4:00 am in the morning here with my jet lag) What a great trip. Salzburg, Marlborghetto/Tarvisio, Palauro, Santa Croce, Venice, Vienna and Passau. We saw a lot and it seemed that we were gone for 3 months. Incredible hospitality from Titziana and family in Marlborghetto, Sonja in Palauro, the Sosic clan in Santa Croce, Robi and Alessandra in Jesolo and of course Kriszta and Herbert in Vienna.

Waiting for the plane, we at first were charged $250 to take our bikes, but then it looks like it ended up being free. They never charged us.

Upgraded for free at Car rental to little Volvo car. We arrived early and they said they were out of our cheap rental, so we were upgraded for free!

Salzburg (but a bit cold and cloudy in Europe this year)

We bought the "Salzburg card" where you could take all the trams, buses and free entry into museums for two days. This was at Mozart's birthplace.

Up on the Untersberg mountain near Salzburg, free ride up the tram, snow up top

Rotten ski lift (red in German), just across the border near Berchtesgarden

Then we went to Marlborghetto in Italy. Climbing Terra Rosso near Tarvisio

They try to take your picture at all the tourist places so and we do our best to ruin the photo each time. This is at the famous Postojna cave on the train. It was an absolutely incredible cave tour.

Wow guys... you've really done more than a couple of things in three weeks... BTW: the castle "somwhere in Slovenia" is Predjamski Grad near Postojna. And you forgot to post the photo shot in the Postojna cave...

Looks like you had a BLAST! You two are so cute making faces in the "tourist" photo. You both look happy. Zoya and I will see you on Saturday.
